The artwork from which I made these icons was painted by artist Charles S. Lidderdale (1831-1895). At least two of his works,
The Wounded Jacobite and
On the Wrong Side, feature the same female model, so I am presuming that those paintings were meant to tell a story. I think that is neat! Also, for the icon entitled,
The Admiring Onlooker, in the painting of the same
name, a man in a tricorn hat is looking down over a wall at the latdy in the icon. Very neat!
